What Voters Need to Know About Jon Echols

Jon Echols is a career politician who has barely practiced law but has spent decades in political office, selling out conservative values for his own benefit. Now he claims to be conservative, but he isn’t honest. His record shows he’s a tax-and-spend, soft-on-crime RINO who caves to the Radical Left.

Tax Hikes and Self-Enrichment

Jon Echols championed and voted for the largest tax increase in modern Oklahoma history. It included a six-cent-per-gallon tax on gasoline and diesel, a $1.50-per-pack tax on cigarettes, and more than doubling the tax on oil and gas production.
In his political career, Jon Echols has accepted more than $30,000 in gifts and meals from lobbyists and more than $600,000 in special-interest money.
After raising our taxes and living large doing favors for special interests, Echols’ businesses lined his pockets with state contracts – getting rich with your tax dollars.

Selling Out to China

Selling out taxpayers to enrich himself is bad. Selling out Oklahoma to Communist China is worse. Echols voted to exempt some Chinese Communist-owned companies from the ban on buying and owning Oklahoma farmland.

Weak on Crime, Caves to the Radical Left

Jon Echols voted with the Democrats in favor of less severe penalties for possessing drugs on school grounds.
Jon Echols opposed ICE efforts to identify criminal illegal immigrants by using English as a second language programs to identify them.
Jon Echols has voted for DEI legislation multiple times in the state house. He even voted for a system that excluded white-owned businesses from receiving notice of state contracts.
Jon Echols helped kill a bill that would have banned drag performances in public.
Jon Echols claims to be pro-Second Amendment, but he voted to disarm staff and students on university and career tech campuses.
