STARLING DELIVERS DECISIVE DEBATE WIN, EXPOSES ECHOLS AS CAREER POLITICIAN LOOKING TO TURN AG OFFICE INTO HIS NEXT INFLUENCE-PEDDLING OPERATION

Outsider Jeff Starling draws sharp contrast on restoring trust, defending taxpayers, getting tough on crime, and standing with President Trump

OKLAHOMA CITY — Republican Attorney General candidate Jeff Starling delivered a decisive performance tonight at the NonDoc “Summary Judgment” debate at the Will Rogers Theatre, drawing a clear contrast with 12-year career politician Jon Echols and laying out his vision to restore trust in the Attorney General’s office, defend Oklahoma taxpayers, get tough on crime, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with President Trump. From the first question to the last, Starling proved he is the political outsider Oklahoma needs — while Echols spent the night defending his liberal record as the longest-serving House Majority Floor Leader in state history and the swamp deals that came with it.

The contrast could not have been clearer. Starling, a practicing attorney, businessman, and proven conservative, laid out a plan to take politics out of the Attorney General’s office, root out public corruption, defend taxpayers, crack down on illegal foreign marijuana grows, and protect Oklahoma families from cartels and criminal networks. Echols, by contrast, spent twelve years cutting deals under the Capitol dome to enrich himself, and now wants to use the AG’s office as the next stop in a long political career and a platform to keep his influence-peddling operation running.

“Oklahomans are tired of career politicians who treat public office like a family business,” Starling said. “The Attorney General’s job isn’t to climb the next rung of the political ladder or reward the lobbyists and insiders who got you there — it’s to enforce the law, defend the Constitution, stand with President Trump, and fight for the people who pay the bills. Tonight Oklahomans saw exactly what’s at stake in this race: a proven outsider who will call balls and strikes, or a 12-year career politician who will turn the AG’s office into his next influence-peddling operation while he sells out conservative principles to the highest bidder.”

With less than a month until the June 16 Republican primary, tonight’s debate confirmed what voters across Oklahoma are seeing on the trail: Jeff Starling is the conservative outsider with the experience, the backbone, and the Trump-first agenda to clean up the AG’s office.
